Maui!!

Well, as previously mentioned, Jamin and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in January. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, so we decided awhile back that we would do that to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We are lucky enough to have my mom close who was willing to take the kids for the full 9 days that we were gone. Maui was absolutely amazing. It was sunny and warm the whole time. The beaches and water were so beautiful and it was awesome to get to spend so much time just for us. Our hotel was beautiful. We went snorkeling a ton, tried to learn to surf (banged my knee up pretty good in the process!), went to a luau, went out on a sailboat to Lana'i, one of the islands off Maui, and checked out all the beaches. We didn't do the Road to Hana. We had mixed feelings about it. It sounded beautiful, but it was a full day of driving there and back and we just didn't want to spend a whole day in the car- maybe next time! ;) We absolutely loved Maui. Missed the kids a lot, but it was an absolutely great trip and I can't wait to go back! Warning: lots of pictures ahead!

The view from our hotel room.
Loved the sunsets there!
The Feast at Lele luau- absolutely awesome luau!
My amazing hubby- I love him so much!
Honalua Bay- still, beautiful water. It was perfectly green. Great snorkeling there.
There's my guy surfing!
Oh, yeah, there's me too. :)
Makena Beach- kind of a special name to me, only some may know why. Beautiful beach!

We got to see a ton of dolphins from the boat we took to Lana'i. It was awesome!

Here's a sea turtle we tried to make friends with! We swam with him for at least 10 minutes. Definitely one of the coolest things snorkeling!
Here he is after going to the surface to take a breath. I really loved the sea turtle if you couldn't tell!

Kinsley 18 months

I took Kinsley in for her 18 month pictures (ok, it was more like 20 months...). I had just planned on getting 2 different pictures. Kinsley initially didn't want to cooperate, but the photographers were really good and Kinsley really warmed up to them. So, needless to say, they got a ton of good pictures and I couldn't decide between them all. So I walked out with more than I had planned (cause that's never happened before :)).

Much Needed Update!

So, I think it's been well established that I am a horrible blogger. When I have free moments, I don't like to spend tons of them on the computer! But, I figured it's time to do a little updating! Everything is going well in the Roth house. It's warm today, and I'm hoping that spring is finally here to stay (and to soon turn to summer)! Jamin and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in January and to commemorate, we took a trip to Hawaii last week, which was unbelievably amazing, but more on that in another post. The kids are doing fantastic. Emma turned 8 in February and was baptized! Such a special experience to have my oldest child baptized. I can't believe she's already 8- where does the time go?! She is in 2nd grade and loving it. She is becoming quite the little reader and is frequently found with a book in her hands (yes, just a little like her mommy!). She is playing soccer this spring. She has fun when she's playing, and really is good and tries hard, but I don't think it's going to be her favorite thing. Sydney is loving 1st grade. She is quite the little social butterfly, always bringing home phone numbers of friends and wanting to get together with them! She is also quite the little reader, but doesn't enjoy it to the level of her big sis. Syd played soccer last fall, but is wanting to get back into gymnastics now. Nicholas is going to start preschool in the fall. He is so excited to go to school like sisters! He still gets a little bored during the day while they're at school, so a few mornings of preschool will be great for him. He is a very sweet boy, always wanting to help mommy throughout the day. And he does love to play (and sometimes torment) his little sister! Kinsley is getting so big! She'll be 2 in August which I can't believe and just makes me want to cry! She is a lovable little sweetie. She loves to give kisses and cuddle and is really getting more into talking. She always says "Lala" in response to I love you. The kids are all really great about playing together and having fun with each other. They get along pretty well, at least most of the time! Here's some pictures of us recently!
